President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has introduced significant reforms in his administration to boost efficiency and align with his commitments to the Nigerian people. These actions include restructuring key ministries, reassigning ministerial roles, and appointing new officials. Key highlights include:

  1. Ministry of Regional Development: The Ministry of Niger Delta Development has been renamed to cover all Regional Development Commissions, including those in the South East, North East, and North West.
  2. National Sports Commission: The Ministry of Sports Development is being dissolved, with its functions transferred to the National Sports Commission, a step aimed at developing a robust sports economy.
  3. New Federal Ministry: The Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Arts and Culture have merged to form the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism, and the Creative Economy.
  4. Ministerial Reassignments: Ten ministers were reassigned to new portfolios, such as Dr. Morufu Olatunji Alausa moving from Health to Education and Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim becoming the Minister of Women Affairs.
  5. Discharge of Ministers: Five ministers, including Barr. Uju-Ken Ohanenye and Prof. Tahir Mamman, have been discharged.
  6. New Ministerial Appointments: Seven new ministers, including Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Bianca Odinaka Odumegwu-Ojukwu as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, have been nominated for Senate confirmation.
  7. Special Appointments: Shehu Dikko has been appointed Chairman of the National Sports Commission, and Sunday Akin Dare as Special Adviser on Public Communication and Orientation.
