In a recent interview on City FM, Fireboy DML shared his perspective on artist conflicts in the Nigerian music industry, acknowledging that disagreements are a natural part of life and, by extension, the music world. He emphasized that everyone—artists, fans, and the media—should focus on their own roles. “Beef, everything is all normal. We are all human,” Fireboy said, addressing the ongoing tension, notably the high-profile conflicts between Davido and Wizkid.

Fireboy, known for keeping a low profile, reiterated his preference for staying out of public spats, affirming his desire to maintain a drama-free life. He also discussed his latest album, Adedamola, which features a range of collaborators, including Lagbaja, Jon Batiste, Seun Kuti, and Spinall. Fireboy revealed that the idea to work with iconic Nigerian musicians Lagbaja and Seun Kuti came from his mentor and YBNL label boss, Olamide, who served as the album’s executive producer.

Artist conflicts are not new to the Nigerian music scene, with past feuds like the one between Ruger and BNXN (formerly Buju) being resolved through a joint EP titled RnB. However, some disputes, like the one between Davido and Burna Boy, and the ongoing issues between Wizkid and Davido, seem far from resolution, with tensions recently escalating once again.
