The top five contenders for this year’s Ballon d’Or have been revealed as football enthusiasts continue to anticipate the award ceremony.
Note that the 2024 Ballon d’Or award ceremony is scheduled to take place in Paris on October 28.

Vinícius Júnior is clearly a fan favorite in the lead-up to the Ballon d’Or ceremony, receiving an overwhelming 64.6% of votes in a recent poll on the official France Football website. His performances for Real Madrid last season, combined with his impact on the pitch, have positioned him as a top contender for the prestigious award.

Lautaro Martínez, who had an exceptional season with Inter Milan and Argentina, claimed second place in the fan vote with 8.2%. England and Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham tied for third with Lautaro at 8.2%, standing out for his contributions at both the club and international levels. His involvement in 36 goals for Real Madrid and key performances for England at the Euros make him a strong candidate.

Rodri, who had a phenomenal season winning both the Premier League with Manchester City and the Euros with Spain, ranked fourth with 6.6%. Finally, Lamine Yamal, the promising young talent from Spain, rounded off the top five with 4.6% of the fan votes.

The fan voting reflects strong support for Vinícius Júnior, but the final decision will also consider votes from journalists, coaches, and players, making the competition still wide open.
